Get ready to dive into the world of building design during the 2024 GHA Summer Design Program! This Summer program is available for elementary and middle school GHA residents, ages 8-13. The Summer Design Program also offers a facilitators program for GHA high school students, ages 14-18. Elementary and middle school students will participate in a 3-day program with trained program facilitators and trained high school facilitators. High school students will be trained on how to become a program facilitator and then have the opportunity to get hands-on experience while helping our elementary and middle school participants explore building designs and construction for a total of 7 weeks. The program is FREE; however, registration is required.
*Program sessions will be held at 1:30pm-4:00pm.
Raffle Prizes: Nintendo Switch, $100 VISA Gift Card, Brand New Laptop
How to Enter: Every session that participants attend will earn them one raffle entry. The more sessions that participants attend, the more raffle entries they will receive, which will increase their chances of winning one of the fantastic prizes listed above. *Note: Field trip day participation is also counted as one additional raffle entry.

Elementary & Middle School Edition
Program Overview:
- This program is offered to GHA residents only, ages 8-13;
this is a 3-day interactive program beginning June 25th;
- Program facilitators will arrive at each GHA community based on the weekly schedule below (students are welcome to attend multiple sessions; however, transportation will be the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian if students attend a session outside of their community.
- Lakespring students will be transported to Claremont to participate in the program during their scheduled week; Smith Homes students will be transported to Pear Leaf to participate in the program during their scheduled week;
- Afternoon snack will be provided;
- Field Trips may take place on Fridays (more information will be provided after your registration is received);
- This program is FREE; however, registration is required;
- Week 1 (June 25th - June 27th): Applewood
- Week 2 (July 9th - July 11th): Silverbriar
- Week 3 (July 17th - July 19th): Pear Leaf and Smith Homes (transportation provided for Smith Homes residents to Pear Leaf)
- Week 4 (July 23rd - July 25th): Laurel Oaks
- Week 5 (July 30th - August 1st): River Birch
- Week 6 (August 7th - August 9th): Lakespring and Claremont
In this program, students will:
-Learn about building design and construction
-Build models
-Design using computers
-Meet professionals

High School Edition
Program Overview:
- This program is offered to GHA residents only, ages 14-18;
this is a 7-week interactive program begining June 17th;
- Program facilitators will arrive at each GHA community based on the weekly schedule below (transportation provided)
- Afternoon snack will be provided;
- Field Trips may take place on Fridays (more information will be provided after your registration is received);
- This program is FREE; however, registration is required;
- Week 1 (June 17th - June 21st): Facilitators Training
- Week 2 (June 25th - June 27th): Applewood
- Week 3 (July 9th - July 11th): Silverbriar
- Week 4 (July 17th - July 19th): Pear Leaf and Smith Homes (transportation provided for Smith Homes residents to Pear Leaf)
