Community Programs

The Police Neighborhood Resource Center is a community-based strategy focusing on law enforcement, community policing, prevention, intervention, treatment, and neighborhood restoration.

Hampton Homes Wellness Clinic is staffed by faculty and students from the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. The staff provides general health assessments, including screenings for blood pressure and blood sugar levels, urinary tract infections, weight loss/gain, and medication adherence.

GHA Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program is available at Hampton Homes. Presently, there are 11 families in the FSS Program. Five families have escrow accounts. Office Technology Training Classes from GTCC are being offered to residents.

The GED program is offered at Hampton Homes and is taught by GTCC instructors. The GED program is open to all GHA residents in public housing and assisted through the HCV program.

A Computer Lab is located at the Hampton Homes Resource Center and is open for use by the residents.

Client Services provides referrals for emergency assistance to residents of all communities who are in need of assistance with rent, utilities, food and transportation. GHA's Client Services Manager provides technical assistance to all Resident Councils.
